Mdina
Mdina has been the capital of Malta, by now this small town is the smallest local council of the island. The population is only 243 people. It is also referred to as Citta Vecchia, (Silent City). It is a charming medieval town with narrow streets, the main attraction is the St. Paul's Cathedral. We also find here several medieval palaces and a Carmelite church. The time spent here is a real time travelling. We can enjoy the special atmosphere even more if we visit here in the evening, when we can understand why it was named as the Silent City.
