Hobbit houses in the Eastern Carpathians

In a small village in the Moldavian region of Romania, you can find this unusual accommodation (Valea celor Doisprezece) The owners have designed the little cottages as hobbit houses, which take you back to the hobbit village of the Lord of the Rings. This accommodation is only recommended for those who loves nature and who are not bothered by the discomfort of nomadism. The old traditions are really important here, so there is no electricity in the rooms, just candles (electrical devices can only be charged in designated areas) and the bathrooms are in a separate building. Those who can accept these circumstances, can enjoy the traditional hot tub under the stars, the cosy warmth of the stove in the rooms and the company of the very friendly animals that live around the house.
