Rome is the eternal city. Everyone should see Rome once, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, the Colosseum, the Roman Forum .... there is no doubt, why Rome is must see city. However, if we were tired of the chaotic metropolitan, the tourist crowds, let’s check some other options.

The town of Bracciano (40 km from the center of Rome) was named after Lake Bracciano, one of the clearest lakes in Italy. Whether you are planning a relaxing lakeside holiday or exploring the historic city, Bracciano has it all for a pleasant stay.

Genzano di Roma (28 km from the center of Rome): Genzano di Roma is an excellent choice for those who prefer to go off the beaten paths. Here there is stunning views of Lake Nemi and the surrounding forests at 435 meters above sea level.

Artena (45 km from Rome), although it has no historical past, but those who love hiking will find many hiking trails in the mountains surrounding the city.

Pitigliano is found 155 km north of Rome, so it is further away from the Italian capital than the other towns, but this village is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, due to the extremely unique and captivating atmosphere. The village is also referred to as the small Jerusalem because of the larger Jewish community living here.
