It is expensive to maintain a motorhome, although more and more people are planning to either buy it ready or transform a rolling home to suit their tastes.
Dilemma: Camper or hotelroom?
The other option – mainly for those, who just got into this lifestyle – is the motorhome renting. But how expensive is renting, comes the question. The price can depend on many factors, how many of us would travel with it, what level of equipment you desire and in high season (summer) or other time would you want to travel. In general, it can be said that the daily price is between 50 USD and 200 USD and outside of this you have to take into account the deposit, which you will get if you give back the motorhome intact. Although renting price can be compared to a hotel room price, it isn’t worth it, since the two are completely different travelling forms. Travelling with a motorhome is much closer to the nomad lifestyle, the love of nature, adventurousness even with all the difficulties and joy of spontaneity. While spending the holiday in a hotel is way more comfortable, where everything is at our disposal, travelling with a motorhome helps to live the moment, here rather you and the circumstances guide, shape, organise the trip. Not to mention that, while during a hotel holiday you can only pack into your suitcase or car, with motorhome our options expand.
In the really comfortable, larger motorhomes you can find everything you would in an apartment, only space is tighter. You only need to save water, because it is not unlimited, and the capacity of the sewage tank is finite, but fortunately, there are solutions for both: where we can get fresh water and get rid of sewage in designated places without worrying about causing an environmental disaster.
In terms of driving, the good news is that motorhomes can be driven with a B license (although not recommended for routine drivers), the bad thing is that while one of us is driving, the other cannot take a nap in the camper bedroom or cook lunch while the car is in motion, all travellers strictly have to be fastened.

In terms of seasons, summer is the most popular, but at temperatures above 0 degrees we can safely rent a motorhome in autumn or spring, if the caravan is properly insulated, it does not need much heating to keep the living space warm. Heating can be done in gaseous form or from the car engine.
